The Adventure Bound team requests the trekkers to visit to the office in the evening. We will have a session with the guides who will instruct and inform you about the entire Annapurna Base Camp 10 Day Trek map and itinerary. With that, it's the time to sleep.

  • Accommodation: Hotel
  • Place: Kathmandu
  • Altitude: 1400m

On the second day, our guides will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the bus stop after breakfast. From the bus stop, the trekkers board a tourist bus that takes them to Pokhara. Kathmandu to Pokhara is approximately 8 hours.

The route from Kathmandu to Pokhara is something everyone enjoys during their visit to Nepal. Passing through several villages, rivers, and waterfalls, and driving along the Trishuli and Marshyangdi river valleys, trekkers will enjoy these eight hours spent in the tourist bus. The bus takes you to the Pokhara bus station. From there, the guides will transfer you to the hotel where you can freshen up. Utilize the rest of the day to immerse in the natural beauty and peacefulness of Pokhara, the city of lakes.

  • Meals: Breakfast
  • Accommodation: Hotel
  • Place: Pokhara
  • Altitude: 822m

Today, our journey will be divided into two half; first a drive from the hotel at Pokhara to Matque (Jhinu Dada) and second, a trek from Jhinu Dada to Chhomrong. As trekkers have their breakfast in the hotel in Pokhara, our representatives (your guides) will take you on a drive to Matque. Before reaching Matque, we pass a checkpoint named Nayapul, where trekkers need to get their ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Permit) checked.

After about 2.5 hours of walking, we reach the starting point of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek by crossing a 287-meter-long suspension bridge (over the Kimrong Khola) that connects Jhinu Dada to the Kimrong Khola Valley. The second part of today's journey begins with a trek from Jhinu Dada to Chhomrong. Be attentive while crossing the bridge because you will witness the magical scenes of the surrounding landscapes and the river below the bridges. Moreover, as soon as you cross the bridge, you can also notice a helipad.

Once we cross the bridge, we need to ascend for around 2.5 more hours over the stone stairs that lead us to the final stop for the day, Chhomrong Village. This village is beautifully and traditionally settled by the Gurungs and also consists of multiple lodges. Spend the day with the majestic views of the mountains.

  • Accommodation: Lodge / Teahouse
  • Place: Chhomrong
  • Altitude: 2170m

Spending a night in the chill and cool environment of Chhomrong certainly makes you fresh and ready for the upcoming journey. On the fourth day, we need to ascend from 2170 meters to 2900 meters. As it is a quite long route of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek map, we need to start walking early in the morning.

The route starts with a drop to the Chhomrong Khola accompanied by a tiny settlement of Bamboo. From there, we climb up to Khuldighar continuing to a forest a little further. The final section of this part of the 10 Day Annapurna Base Camp Trek passes through rhododendron forests before leading us to the Himalaya Hotel for the overnight stay.

  • Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge / Teahouse
  • Place: Himalaya
  • Altitude: 2900m

Say hello to the day when you reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700 meters). We leave the Himalayan Hotel early in the morning after breakfast and first ascend to Deurali. The first part of this section of the Machhapuchhre Base Camp Trek from Deurali passes through a lush forest. Here, you might also get lucky enough to witness wildlife. Moreover, trekkers will also get to see the Hinku cave where they can rest and experience the beauty of the place.

Ascending to Deurali means that trekkers will reach an altitude of 3200 meters. So, from this section of the trek, we can notice fewer trees and the level of oxygen also decreases significantly. Due to this reason, there is also a higher chance of altitude sickness. However, the epic glimpses of Gangapurna mountain from the middle of two hills make the experience even more spectacular. Machhapuchhre Base Camp Trek is 2 more hours away from Deurali. This base camp is 3700 meters above sea level but still offers many beautiful lodges and hotels for the trekkers to stay and acclimatize.

Besides, you also get an exceptional point of view of the Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peak. We will stay in lodges at MBC for the night after having a fulfilling and delicious dinner.

  • Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge / Teahouse
  • Place: Machhapuchhre Base Camp
  • Altitude: 3700m

On the sixth day, we start the trek even before having breakfast. The reason behind that is that we need to reach the Annapurna Base Camp Trek for the mesmerizing sunrise view. This trek to Annapurna Base Camp Trek from MBC takes only 2 hours but offers one of the best trekking experiences of the entire route. The view from 4130 meters above the sea level of the first ray of sun hitting the mountains is out of the league.

We ascend parallel to the glacial water coming from Annapurna with flowers and mountains all around. The entire route is comparatively easy and we also get signs of different hotels and lodges as we reach the Annapurna Base Camp. Moreover, you will also meet many climbers on their way to ascend to the top of the 10th tallest mountain in the world.

The trekkers will spend some time in the Annapurna Base Camp and then descend on a route that takes us to the Himalaya Hotel. We will not spend much time in the base camp because of the extreme weather and climatic conditions. The descending journey from ABC to Himalaya Hotel is pretty much easy so we will get down from 4130 meters to 2900 meters above sea level within a short period.

  • Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge / Teahouse
  • Place: Himalaya
  • Altitude: 4130m

After another cozy and comfortable stay in the Himalaya Hotel, we descend to Chhomrong on the seventh day. Even though this is a descending section of the 10 Day Annapurna Base Camp Trek, it takes about 5 to 6 hours for the trekkers to come down from 2900 meters to 2170 meters above sea level. This route also offers scenic views of different settlements, forests, rhododendron blooms, and tea houses.

You can enjoy this section of the trek to Annapurna Base Camp with the guides and other fellow trekkers. Share your experiences, talk to your trekking mates and you will not even notice reaching Chhomrong. Utilize the rest of the time exploring the locality of Chhomrong before having dinner and an overnight stay in a cozy and comfortable hotel.

  • Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
  • Accommodation: Lodge / Teahouse
  • Place: Chhomrong
  • Altitude: 2170m

Our trek on the eighth day leads us to the starting point of the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking route, Matque. Do you remember starting the expedition from this point? Yup, we are here again. It will not take us too long to reach from Chhomrong to Matque because if you remember even the ascending journey was just 4 hours long.

Keep a slow and steady pace even while descending as there is nothing to hurry about. Once you reach Matque, our guides will drive you back to the hotel in Pokhara. You can check in at the hotel, freshen up, and then enjoy your evening and night in the Pokhara Lakeside. After such a tiring and high-altitude trek, spending quality time by the lakeside gives you calmness, relaxation, and a feeling of accomplishment as well.

  • Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
  • Accommodation: Hotel
  • Place: Pokhara
  • Altitude: 822m

On the ninth day of the 10-day Annapurna Base Camp Trek package with Adventure Bound, we drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara. The same views and scenarios but from a different perspective. Yes, this drive will be full of memories, experiences, and an excitement of accomplishment.

Within six hours of drive, we reach Kathmandu from where you will be escorted to the hotel in Kathmandu. On this day, you can rest in the hotel itself or explore the nearby areas. Moreover, we also welcome you for a farewell dinner, totally, from our side. Share your experiences, and feedback, and enjoy the last day in Nepal. After that, you can sleep in a cozy room in the hotel.
