Starting from Kathmandu, we set off on a drive to Syabrubesi in a public sharing bus. Syabrubesi is 80 km and it takes around 7-8 kilometers. During this drive, you will ascend from 1400 meters to 1500 meters, and believe us the start of the trek is so much adventurous even though it is a drive.

As you leave Kathmandu, you can slowly experience the changes in the scenarios, surrounding environment, lifestyle, and nature as well. We drive from the chaos of the urban areas to the comparatively peaceful part of the country. Furthermore, as the drive happens in a public sharing bus, you have the chance to interact with many individuals on their way to the same place as you are. Stopping by to have dinner in between the drive, we finally reach Syabrubesi by the evening.

Once you reach Syabrubesi, the representatives from Adventure Bound (your guides) will take you to the hotel in which you will spend the night. After checking in at the hotel, the trekkers can explore the area, interact with the locals, and try some local special cuisines here.

After spending a peaceful night in Syabrubesi, the second day of the 7 Day Langtang Valley Trek calls for the first walking journey. On this day, after having a fulfilling breakfast, the trekkers ascend from Syabrubesi to the Lama Hotel. Covering around 11.3 km and walking up to the altitude of 2470 meters above sea level takes around 5 to 6 hours for an average trekker. However, the time taken can also vary based on the trekkers' pace.

On your way to the Lama Hotel, you can find yourself walking along a trail accompanied by oak and rhododendron forests. Also, if you take a closer look or notice things, you can find that the villages and settlements in this part of the 7 Day Langtang Valley Trekking route are highly influenced by the Tibetan lifestyle and culture. Walking inside the Langtang National Park Area, witnessing different floras and faunas, and crossing several traditionally influenced villages, we finally reach Lama Hotel around the afternoon. Overnight stay and dinner will be arranged in the Lama Hotel.

As this is a short trek, there are no acclimatization days throughout the entire 7 Days of the Langtang Valley itinerary. Due to that reason, trekkers will already find themselves in Langtang Valley on the third day of the trek commencement. We will have a fulfilling breakfast in Lama Hotel and then the guide will take you towards the next or the final checkpoint of the trek, Langtang Valley. The distance between Lama Hotel and Langtang Valley is approximately 14.8 kilometers. However, the trekking trail is comparatively more difficult than that from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel. Therefore, it takes around 6 hours for any average trekker to ascend this part of the 7 Day Langtang Valley Trek.

The trail passes through beautiful villages, forests, and rhododendrons bloom, alongside the Langtang River. The first checkpoint for the day will be Gumanchok, a lovely village famous for its traditional horse stable. From there, accompanied by the views of yaks grazing and Langtang Ri Himal (7246 meters) glazing, we continue the walk. Passing through several serene rivers, suspension bridges, Buddhist Landmarks, and villages, we finally enter the Langtang Valley (2980 meters) after six hours of journey.

Lama Hotel Altitude: 2470 meters

From Langtang Valley, the Langtang Valley Trekking route takes us towards the Kyanjin Gompa, a village at an altitude of 3860 meters. While ascending on this part of the 7 Day Langtang Valley Trek, trekkers need to be very careful about altitude sickness because we will be ascending above the altitude of 3000 meters. Nevertheless, the beautiful villages, yak grazing pastures, rivers, waterfalls, and so much more.

Besides, the trekkers can also expect some spectacular views of the snow-covered mountain peaks like Mt. Langtang Ri, Mt. Ganchempo, etc. Furthermore, the trek is also very enjoyable with somehow difficult terrain making it a bit more challenging. However, the route is completely covered with prayer flags, mani walls, and landmarks of Chhortens.

Langtang Valley Altitude: 2980 meters

Once we reach Kyanjin Gompa, the ascending journey ends and then we start on the descending journey. On the fifth day, we descend from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel. The descending journey takes about 5 to 6 hours and takes you through one of the best parts of the entire 7 Day Langtang Valley Trek. With a mind full of memories, a little tiredness, a feeling of accomplishment.

By the evening, we finally reach Lama Hotel where trekkers will have dinner and stay overnight. Moreover, you can also explore the Lama Hotel area and interact with the locals living in that area. Kyanjin Gompa Altitude: 3860 meters

Time Taken: 5 to 6 hours trek

After a long journey in the Langtang Valley, we are in the last part of the journey. We will not immediately return to Kathmandu from Syabrubesi because, after a long journey, trekkers will be tired and need some rest before driving to Kathmandu.

Lama Hotel Altitude: 2470 meters
