About Bardia National Park

Bardia National Park is situated in the western plain lands of the country which covers some 968 Sq. km.

Bardia National Park This park is considered to be the largest protected area in the country. It is home to various endangered species including tiger, wild elephant, rhinoceros, swamp deer, blackbuck, Gharial crocodile, Gangetic dolphin and many more. It is no doubt that varieties of activities can be organized in the park namely the elephant rides, jeep safari or simply walk through the jungle or you can go for canoeing on the Rapti or Narayani river, all these features have made the Bardia National Park a unique place and most loved place to visit in Nepal.

Upon arrival at Nepalgunj Airport, our office representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to the resort. After a short refreshment break, you'll receive a brief introduction to the program.

You’ll then embark on a village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village, where you can immerse yourself in the culture and lifestyle of the Tharu people. Following this, enjoy a visit to the Elephant Breeding Center, ending the day with a beautiful sunset view from the banks of the Karnali River. Dinner and a sharing of wildlife experiences before going to sleep.

Full-Day Jungle Walk: This is an incredible opportunity to observe a variety of wildlife, including small mammals and numerous bird species. You'll also have the chance to quietly observe the animals from a Machan (watchtower), accompanied by our expert naturalists and wildlife tracker for an immersive experience.

Half-Day Tiger Tracking & Birdwatching: Join us for a thrilling opportunity to spot the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, along with the rich birdlife of Bardia National Park. A packed lunch will be provided, and you’ll have excellent opportunities for wildlife photography throughout the day. In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance performance by the local Tharu community at the hotel. This vibrant showcase of traditional music and dance offers a unique insight into the rich cultural heritage of the Tharu people, providing an entertaining and memorable experience.

You will wake up with singing of birds, and then you will have breakfast with tea-coffee drink, after being freshen up and then you will go for bird-watching tour and return back to the resort in the afternoon and pack the things and you will then move to Nepalgunj airport from where you will return to Kathmandu. Adventure Bound Kathmandu representatives will pick up you from domestic airport and transfer you to your hotel.
