About Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour 3 Night

Chitwan National Park is located in southern central Nepal, some 146 km away from Kathmandu. This park has been listed under the natural heritage sites by the UNESCO. UNESCO declared Chitwan National Park to be natural heritage site in 1979.

Chitwan National Park Safari The park that covers some 932 Sq. km is the home to various endangered species namely mammals, birds, reptiles and water animals of several kinds. One of the features of this park is that there are some 500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros, hundred nocturnal royal Bengal tiger; lumbering elephants, crocodile, python, deer, brilliantly colored birds and many more. This the park situated at very close from the capital city and lies the way to various trekking destination, therefore, you can either extend your trekking to jungle safari in Chitwan National park.

Besides, diverse animals and birds, one another features Is that you will be able to see amazing Tharu culture, their way of living, tradition and heart touching Tharu dance. Inside the park you can organize various other activities including Jungle Safari on elephant back, jungle walk, canoe ride, jeep drive and many more. Chitwan can either be reached by tourist bus or public transportation.

Itinerary

Transfer from Kathmandu along the scenic Prithivi highway In Chitwan, you'll be met by a tour representative who will take you to your hotel for a welcome drink and time to freshen up. You'll get a safari briefing by your nature guide while having lunch. Enjoy a short rest, before visiting a village of the ethnic Tharu people. Take a short hike through the village and visit the museum. Watch the sunset from the riverbank, before dinner and a program of Tharu Culture.

After breakfast, you will go for canoeing in the Rapti River on traditional dug-out canoe spotting different mammals/birds. You shall also visit the elephant breeding center and learn about the breeding process and how elephants are taken care of.

Later on you are most welcome to give a little scrub to the elephant during the elephant bathing program at the nearby jungle river. After lunch, we will go on an elephant safari on the back of an elephant to trace animals in the wild accompanied by your naturalist. 

Wake-up call at dawn around 6 AM and quietly go for a little walk to spot different species of birds that the park shelters. Later on return back to the resort where breakfast will be ready.

Lunch will be at noon. on a jeep and go for an exhilarating jeep drive deep in the jungle again for sightings of more animals such as monkeys, one-horned rhinos, deer, wild boars etc and even ‘Tiger’ if luck favors. 

After your breakfast in the morning and you shall be transferred to the bus station for the drive back to Kathmandu/Pokhara /Lumbani at 9 AM.
