Remember that, Buddha Himal becomes the trekker's best friend on the fifth day of the trek.

As we keep ascending for a while, we reach a beautiful village settled at an altitude of 2240 meters. Take a moment to appreciate the beauty of this village and again walk for about 2-3 hours until we reach LungwaKhola. Everywhere you see, you can sense the presence of a natural aura coming from several floras along the way. With such an exciting and unique aura, we reach the Gumlung region and then cross the Siyar River. Finally, after walking through the magical mystery of the Himalayas for 6 to 7 hours, we step foot in the lower region of Tsum Valley and the place is known as Chumling.

Reaching Chokhangparo takes the trekkers into majestic landscapes, different villages, waterfalls, rivers, and finally a suspension bridge right before reaching the destination.

Moreover, this part of the Manaslu Tsum Valley route also offers majestic views of potato fields, different Gompas, and the stunning Ganesh Himal. After walking for several hours we will stop at a village named Gho. The unusual Ripchet village will astound you with its vast fields of potatoes, maize, barley, and wheat. Most of the houses you will see are made of stone and have iron roofs. You can see Tahr grazing in the distance on the steep mountain cliffs.

  • Place: Chokhangparo
  • Altitude: 3,010m/10203 ft

On the seventh day, we finally crossed the altitude threshold because as we exceeded the altitude of 3000 meters, the chances of altitude sickness arose. Therefore, we encourage all trekkers to be prepared for the symptoms of altitude sickness. Moreover, from this day, we also expect trekkers to drink as much as possible.

By traveling through tiny communities and neighborhood schools, you will turn eastward. Here, we take a moment to appreciate the natural beauty. After crossing the Lama Gaon, the trail ascends over the ridge again. Flat plains, rivers, and a courtyard filled with Gompas will be seen throughout this part of the Tsum Valley with Manaslu Trek.

Trekkers can also see Nunnery Gompa or Rachen, excellent accommodations for the pilgrims visiting the Tsum Valley. Following a brief stop, you will traverse the Shiyar Khola and pass through the Phurbe 3251m hamlets. You will be in Chhule, the next stop, in a few hours. You will reach the Nile and rest here after passing through a few floors and the bridge.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Tea house / Lodge
  • Place: Nile
  • Altitude: 3,361m / 11,027 ft

The 8 day can also be taken as the acclimatization day of the Tsum Valley Manaslu Circuit trip because we do not advance to any other place on this day. For today, we would plan to go for a day trip to Mu Gompa and return to the Nile for the night. Trekkers do not need to carry heavy baggage for this day and can trek with higher flexibility and ease.

Mu Gompa is the highest point of the entire Tsum Valley and this place is also pretty much closer to the Tibetan Border. Due to that reason, you might witness that the lifestyle of Nepal's side is also highly influenced by Tibetan lifestyle and culture. We spend some time at Mu Gompa to appreciate and craftsmanship people of that era have devoted to this infrastructure and also get bounded by the soothing Buddhist tunes and chants.

After exploring the Gompa for a few hours, we descend back towards Nile because Mu Gompa does not have any tea houses or shops. Moreover, it is also necessary to ascend high and sleep low.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Tea house / Lodge
  • Place: Nile
  • Altitude: 3700 m/12,139 ft.

After two days of Mu Gumpa exploration, we bid farewell to that place and began a journey towards the next destination. Today, we set a goal to reach Burgi Village while also exploring the wilderness of Milarepa Cave. Remember that Mu Gumpa (3700 meters) is the highest point and the final destination of the entire Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek's 14 Day journey. On the tenth day, we start the descending journey.

A trail that takes you along the bank of the Shiyar Khola leads you to the Burgi Village. This is a small, beautiful, and welcoming village, where you can experience the warm hospitality of the locals. From there the journey continues to Milarepa cave. Once you reach here, you can see exceptional views of Poshyop Glacier and Kipu Himal. For dinner and overnight stay, we return to Chumling.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Tea house / Lodge
  • Place: Chumling
  • Altitude: 2386 m/7828 ft.

From Chumling, our next destination would be Philim, another beautiful village you pass during the Manaslu Tsum Valley expedition. The journey takes around 6-7 hours to complete so we begin the walk immediately after having breakfast.

Starting with the 10th-day trail, the route follows a zigzag way leading the trekkers to the Pine forests. Leaving behind all the beautiful Pine and Rhododendron forests you will follow the Budhi Gandaki to view Samba waterfall. A little further from the roaring Samba waterfall you will reach the village of Philim. You will stay in Philim village today.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Tea house / Lodge
  • Place: Philim
  • Altitude: 1590 m / 5,217 ft

As we near the end of our trek, we descend towards MachhaKhola, retracing familiar trails with newfound appreciation. Passing through Jagat, we reach Tatopani for a refreshing break before continuing to Jagat.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Tea house / Lodge
  • Place: Jagat
  • Altitude: 1340m/4396 ft

Today you follow back to the starting point of your trek, Macchakhola. Reflect on your incredible Tsum Valley trekking journey and the experience you gained.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
  • Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Place: Kathmandu
  • Altitude: 971 m/3185 ft.
