“Three Pass Trek in December”

We scheduled the "Three Pass Trek" in the Nepali Himalayan Mountain Range for December 2016. Everything was pre-organized 6 months earlier via Email from Germany, and I was happy that the company took care of all the reservations and permits. I was only required to book my inbound and outbound flights to Kathmandu. Upon my arrival, I was picked up at the airport and transferred to a nice hotel. One day later, we flew to Lukla to start the Three Pass Trek. During the 20-day trekking, we were very happy with our well-experienced and very knowledgeable Trekking Guide Bibek and our porter. Both did their best to make this experience unforgettable. Indeed, we succeeded in passing all three passes while also visiting Mount Everest and Ama Dablam Base camp on the way. Besides being lucky with perfect weather and not-too-cold nights, we were also very happy with the overall organization and infrastructure of our trip. Because we were being sick for a few days (bad stomach), our tour was re-adjusted spontaneously to include an additional rest day. After resting, we were able to continue our tour and successfully finish with the last pass. Once we returned to Kathmandu, we had a nice farewell dinner and were transported safely back to the airport. In summary, my experience with "Adventure Bound" was most positive and enjoyable, having no complaints at all. I would very much recommend booking trips for the Himalayan Mountain Range with this company. Price is fair and service is excellent. I am looking forward to returning to Nepal soon.

Easy as ABC

The trek was amazing! Raj,our guide, made the trek as easy as possible. He was so useful and was essential in making the experience marvellous! The trek itself was excellent, seeing some amazing views and some hard climbs. Sad now that we have finished!

Annapurna circuit with Raman

After starting the Annapurna circuit alone I hooked up with Raman after a day or two. He was already guiding a German customer who I made friends with along the way. As it ended up myself and another friend joined Raman for the remainder of our trek around the Annapurna circuit. Raman was an extremely attentive and informative guide. He has a very gentle manner and he really went out of his way to make sure we knew the landscape we were trekking through and that we were happy with what we were doing. His knowledge of the area was excellent and he would alert us to any points of interest along the way. Both Raman and our porter Laxman (who is possibly the smiliest man in Nepal) made fantastic travel companions and really made a big difference in terms of our appreciation of the Annapurna region. I would highly recommend their services if you are planning a trek in Nepal.

“Langtang Valley Trek”

-Arrival- We did the Langtang Valley 5 day trek with 4 people in October. The overall trip is an incredible adventure in nature and culture. The airport was very chaotic and there is zero concept of personal space, so heads up. We started out in Kathmandu and we were very well taken care of by our outfitter and guide upon arrival. They picked us up and took us directly to the hotel which had decent amenities and an awesome restaurant, french bakery, and bar adjacent. -Guide- We had a group of 4 people with drastically varying ability, experience, and apetite for adventure. Our guide Bibek did an awesome job accommodating everyone's needs, desires, and pace. He couldn't have been more patient, positive, supportive, or pleasant to be around. He kept us laughing the whole time and learning about the local history and culture from him was well worth the price. -The Drive- We were fortunate enough to take a Jeep to Syabrubesi rather than a bus, which I would highly recommend. It's an 8+ hour drive and it gets bumpy. Like, riding a bull with a plywood saddle bumpy. If you want incredible views and don't have a fear of tumbling down steep mountain cliffs, sit on the left on the way there, and the right on the return. If you don't, sit in the middle or on the opposite side. While the ride is rough, it's non-stop stunning views of the expansive mountainous landscape. -Trek- As for the trek itself, it was an experience of a lifetime. It was among the more physically challenging things I've done and I'm a very fit and active person. If you have any aches or minor injuries this trek will definitely make them abundantly apparent. Every turn and step forward brings a more splendorous view than the last. The trails are "Nepali flat" which means you can expect to cover over 3000' and 10 miles of rough terrain your first couple of days. I injured my knee hiking the Adirondacks in February and that old injury flared up very intensely on the way back down, so pack a brace or carry a trekking pole for backup if you have any known issues. -Lodging- The locals and fellow trekkers could not have been more friendly. The food was surprisingly good and you can readily find some of your favorite guilty pleasures (like coke, snickers, or pringles) in even the most remote lodges. The lodges were pretty basic, but very cozy. Sitting around the wood burning stove drinking hot tea and talking with everyone is the perfect way to end the day. Some lodges have solar showers and western toilets, some don't. -Nature- This is hands down one of the most beautiful places I've been on earth. It's constant views of waterfalls, beautiful skies, massive boulders, dense foliage, vast mountain ranges, glaciers, and the constant sound of raging river rapids. We got ample opportunities to see monkeys, yaks, and donkeys. Dense clouds obscured views of the snow capped mountains the first few days, so plan to stay at Kenjing Gompa a few days if you can spare the time so you have a window for good weather and views. -Weather- Pack light, but pack for every climate. We went from hot humid jungle to below freezing over a three day period. I packed shorts, pants, synthetic T, long sleeved synthetic, windbreaker, down jacket, hat, beanie and I wore them all. -Conclusion- What are you waiting for? Book the trip already! This is a trip you're going to remember for the rest of your life and an opportunity to make new friends from all over the world.

“Annapurna Base Camp AMAZING track with our AWESOME guide Ramen”

We had an amazing 10 day trek up to ABC. It was challenging as expected but by the third day surprisingly your body becomes accustomed to it. We couldn't have been happier with ur guide Ramen. His pace never pressuring us but taking it easy enjoying the most amazing views we could have experienced. Through rainforests, walking alongside rapids over crazy bridges to eating the local food. The experience is what you make it. Thank you Adventurebound this opportunity. Charlotte & Piers

“Adventure Bound - Absolute Best”

I just returned from a two week trip through Nepal with nine other friends. We had an absolutely amazing time, and it was primarily due to Rajan's Adventure Bound Treks and Tour. We did a five day trek up to and down from Poon Hill in Ghorepani, as well as a two night stay by Chitwan National Park. For the Poon Hill Trek, the one time fee covered meals, lodging, and guides, and the only additional costs we payed were for small snacks like Snickers and Mars bars we purchased along the trekking route and beers at night. The one time fee for the Chitwan stay covered our meals, lodging, Elephant ride safari, Jungle walk, canoe ride, Tharu cultural dance show, as well as pick up and drop off from the bus center. To say that Rajan and his team went above and beyond their duties is an understatement. Not only did they make sure we had everything we needed and enjoyed our trek and time at Chitwan, they also made sure all our transportation to and from Kathmandu/Pohkara/Chitwan was scheduled and that we wouldn't have any issues getting to each city. Rajan even spent the last night with us for dinner, and took us out for some Nepalese sweets before our flight. I honestly didn't know what to expect from Nepal, but Adventure Bound was absolutely one of the main reasons why we had such an amazing time. I'm looking forward to my next trip back to Nepal and my next trek with Rajan and Adventure Bound.
